lecture: Scripting your own Topology Provider using GraphML

Event_large

Ever wanted to create your own Topology Map in OpenNMS, but didn't know how? This talk shows how to define and customize your own Topology Provider by simply using XML and some additional (optional) scripting.

The OpenNMS Group worked on a so called GraphML Topology Provider which allows to define a Topology by using the GraphML definition language (which is basically XML). It enables users to define custom Topologies with custom status and also allows to reference to nodes within OpenNMS. This talk gives an introduction to the GraphML Topology Provider and how it should be used. The topics are:
* How to define your own Topology
* Have multiple layers and want to link between them?
* Want custom icons?
* Want custom edge status?
* Want vertex status?
* Want a specific layout?
* etc.
